Description
The Nonprofit Development Associate will support the school and parish by providing development and other relevant public relations services. The Director is responsible for implementing an annual development plan with the principal and pastor (and the Development Committee). The Director of Development fulfills the mission of Catholic education by planning, guiding, and evaluating the school and parish's development efforts in fundraising, marketing, event planning, communication, and alumni affairs by:
~Further the mission of Catholic education at St. Francis of Assisi
~Set, achieve, and evaluate fundraising goals with the pastor and principal
~Oversee fundraising by school organizations
~Attain sponsorships for events throughout the year
~Cultivate a culture of giving among parents, alumni, and parishioners
~Help create an alumni database and implement strategies to engage alums of all ages
~Identify ways to attract prospective families to St. Francis of Assisi, as well as retain current families
~Cultivate and coordinate volunteers
~Create and implement a donor stewardship program
~Encourage planned giving
~Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Preferred Experience:
~Experience in coordinating fundraising efforts and overseeing volunteers
~Posses an understanding of and an appreciation for a Christ-centered, Catholic school
~Must possess strong interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills
~Strong organizational skills are essential.
~Bachelors degree in related field
